Why Car Control?

Car control is an essential skill that every driver needs to master.  You can develop this on the big track, but having a safe environment to find out what your car can do and learn how to control it when driving the tires as hard as they can handle is the fast track to being a great driver.  Come out to our Intro Car Control event on the Friday at Thompson and then drive Saturday and Sunday on the big track.  Click here to register for Saturday and Sunday.

Space is limited and interest is high, so returning NCR/NER HPDE drivers will have priority when registering.  This event is most appropriate for drivers in the Green and Yellow run groups.

We’re trying to balance the sweet spot of cost and time on course.  You’ll get more than double the time on course as a typical AX, and our cost is about 40% of some similar events.  The day will run from around 8:00 am until around 5pm.  We're shooting to maximize the time on course for everyone.

There will be a 90 minute pre-event live zoom, and we'll share the video after.  It's required that you either attend live or watch the video before the event.

Drivers must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license in hand at the event. Helmets meeting our HPDE standards are required.
