About this event

Time to head out to the desert and enjoy Chuckwalla!!

Join the POC for an exciting weekend at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. We're hosting our Red and Orange Cup Racing groups, Time Trial Point-By Passing and Open Passing groups, and our Performance Driving Series (PDS), at this super fun 2.68 mile road course. We will be running in the Counter Clockwise direction.

MSF Level 2 training.

In addition to our usual track sessions, we are also offering Motorsports Safety Foundation Level 2 Training. Note that the Level 2 training combines classroom and track exercises and uses the full day (other than lunch). You might not have time for lapping sessions on Saturday. This is a one day event so Sunday is wide open

The Motorsports Safety Foundation has created a standardized program for training high performance driving instructors.  This course has been adopted by many driving clubs and track day organizations throughout the country.  POC has decided to offer this program to its members in order to continue improving student training.

POC is offering Level 2 of the Motorsports Safety Foundation Instructor Training at the Streets event.  To register, participants must have completed the Motorsports Safety Foundation Level 1 self-paced course and received a certificate for passing the written test.

The Level 2 course is a combination of classroom and on track coaching exercises.  Each instructor candidate will participate in four on track sessions working with a mentor that will be roll playing as an inexperienced student who exhibit certain traits (e.g. aggressive, passive, know it all, etc.) while driving that requires the instructor to utilize proper coaching skills to correct.

This will be an all-day course that when successfully completed will result in receiving Level 2 certification and graduation for completing the course requirements to be certified and receive your credentials as a Motorsports Safety Foundation Instructor.
