About this drive

Known as the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Karakoram Highway (KKH) is the highest paved international road on Earth, crossing the Khunjerab Pass at 4,693 metres. Connecting Pakistan to China through the Karakoram, Hindu Kush, and Himalayan mountain ranges, this 1,300-kilometre route is an epic high-altitude adventure. The road follows the ancient Silk Road trading route through dramatic gorges, past glaciers, turquoise lakes, and colossal peaks, including views of Rakaposhi and Nanga Parbat.
