About this drive

The Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) is widely considered one of the most scenic drives in the world. Stretching 232 kilometres through Banff and Jasper National Parks in the Canadian Rockies, it passes some of the most extraordinary alpine scenery on Earth. The route winds past glacial lakes of impossible turquoise (including the famous Lake Louise and Peyto Lake), ancient icefields, towering peaks, and abundant wildlife including elk, bears, and mountain goats. The Columbia Icefield visitor centre midway along the route is a highlight.
